Kathleen Beaumont Hill Award (Vancouver Branch)

Created in 2009, this award celebrates the dedication and generosity of Kathleen Beaumont Hill, BA'50, to her alma mater and community for more than 60 years.

To proudly carry Kathleen Beaumont Hill's name and spirit for future generations of remarkable Queen's alumni in British Columbia, this award will be presented biennially to the individual who best exemplifies her outstanding service, passionate advocacy, dedicated support, and contributions to the betterment of our 카지노게임사이트 and our country.

Selection criteria

Nominees are reviewed based on the following criteria:

  • Is a Queen's graduate or Honorary Degree recipient.
  • Is based in Vancouver.
  • Has a history of active and outstanding contributions to the Queen's alumni community globally and in Vancouver.
  • Has significantly contributed to or impacted Queen's 카지노게임사이트's reputation through their professional and personal lives and active community involvement in Vancouver.
  • Is an active contributor, through volunteerism and/or financial support, to Queen's 카지노게임사이트 and its students.
  • Is not currently employed by Queen's 카지노게임사이트 (please note that any contributions made as part of a nominee's Queen's faculty or staff duties cannot be considered in the nomination for the Kathleen Beaumont Hill Award).

Nominations are considered for two consecutive biennial award cycles.

Michael Chernoff, Sc'59

Mr. Chernoff is receiving the award for his lifelong commitment to Queen카지노 게임 컬렉션™s, ongoing philanthropic support in Vancouver, and dedication to helping young people from rural and remote communities achieve their dreams.

While a generation of Queen's alumni will recognize him as one of the namesakes of Queen's Chemistry building, Chernoff Hall, Mr. Chernoff studied Geological Engineering at Queen's. He is a former Brier Champion, business leader, and entrepreneur, having founded multiple companies in the energy sector. Mr. Chernoff and his family believe strongly in the importance and value of higher education, and through their support they have improved access for aspiring Queen's students in rural and remote parts of Canada.

We look forward to celebrating Mr. Chernoff and the spirit of Kathleen Beaumont Hill and Vancouver alumni in Fall 2025.
